A former corporate treasurer by trade, Victor Villalba reached a crossroads in 1994 and decided that a leap of faith was in order. Villalba left behind a promising finance position with a multi-million dollar Mexican-Japanese Corporation headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico, to focus his attention in a communications career. The first call of the Dallas Cowboys came in 1996, offering the color analyst position for the Spanish language radio broadcast, and by the 1997 season this assignment included producing and hosting television programming. In 2005 Villalba added Spanish language play-by-play and Hispanic marketing consulting for the Dallas Mavericks, and having been part of the first trip to the NBA Finals in 2006, was part of the 2010-2011 Mavericks team that won it all.
